When the Vikings first stumbled upon Holy Island in AD 793, they probably needed a strong drink at the end of the day! Sadly, they arrived too early to enjoy this well-grounded nautical tipple from the island. So take the opportunity that they didn’t have, and try this new drink.
This is our own original Holy Island Rum, which has been mixed and bottled in-house by the Alnwick Rum Company.
It is a dark rum with an ABV of 37.5 % and comes from the same family as our Alnwick Rums.
It has a caramel and nut aroma with sight sweetness and a hint of dark sugar/treacle. It finishes with a creamy and nutty linger in the mouth and is ideal with lemonade or Coke.
