On Friday the 6th of May we were honoured to have the Duke of Northumberland, attend our official opening of our new Brewery Taproom.
Located in the stunning setting of Hawkshill surrounded by the rolling hills of the Cheviots approximately 1.5 miles away from Alnwick Castle, one of Northumberland most famous tourist attractions, we could not have found a better spot.

With several of our most popular beers on tap including Alnwick Amber and IPA, His Grace, after ‘Cutting the Ribbon’, enjoyed a half pint of our Alnwick Gold along with a freshly made pie from local Turnbull’s the butcher.
Always thriving on new local opportunities, His Grace was delighted to discover our up-and-coming collaborative work with Turnbull’s, two of Alnwick’s leading businesses creating a new bespoke beer. This has also been broadcasted on GBTV national breakfast show giving great exposure to his beloved home territory.
Hosting the occasion was head brewer Phil Bell alongside group director Ian Robinson who were able to give an entertaining guided tour of the brewery itself and demonstrate some of our unique brewing techniques.
